The driver connects his delivery hose to the delivery point in the usual way. A normally closed 24v/240v solenoid valve in the delivery line is controlled by Petroman.
There are 2 x probes in the storage tank. When the product level reaches the lower of the 2 probes an ullage warning will sound to the driver. An alarm and illumination of a flashing AMBER lamp will begin . The driver then has time to shut down delivery and drain his delivery hose. Should the driver fail to stop delivery then the product hitting the higher probe will shut down the solenoid valve at a controlled pace so not to shock the cargo pump, hose & connections. The PRV on the tanker cargo pump will then go on relief @ 75psi.
